Oliver Queen (born May 16, 1985) is a survivor of a post apocalyptic world.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Oliver Queen was born on May 16, 1985 to Robert and Moira Queen inside an underground Vault beneath Starling City, 23 years after the Cuban Missile Crisis led to a full scale nuclear war. Robert was the Vault's Overseer. Oliver was best friends with Tommy Merlyn. In 2007, Malcolm Merlyn had Robert killed and framed Oliver, forcing him to flee the vault with Sara Lance. Wandering the wastes, Oliver and Sara heard of a safe haven on Lian Yu. They took a boat but it was caught in a storm that appeared to kill Sara.
Lian Yu[]
On the island Oliver met Yao Fei who had just escaped a Chinese camp on the island. At one point, Oliver was captured and tortured by Billy Wintergreen under Edward Fyers' orders, before Oliver was rescued by Yao Fei. Later, Yao Fei seemingly started working for Fyers. Oliver found Slade Wilson in a hideout be made from parts of his plane. Slade named the hideout, Plane Base. Slade trained Oliver . Later, they rescued Shado. Shado taught Oliver how to use a bow.
Eventually Oliver, Shado and Slade were captured. Fyers revealed that he worked for a group called A.R.G.U.S that sent him to launch an armour piercing nuke at one of China's Vaults. After making Yao Fei film a video claiming responsibility for the attack, Fyers shot him. Oliver, Shado and Slade were able to stop Fyers from launching the missile and Oliver killed him with his bow.
Mirakuru[]
In 2008, Oliver was captured by a group from the Amazo Vault and taken to their ship where Sara was alive. The Amazo leader, Anthony Ivo, told Oliver that they were looking for Mirakuru, a formula the Japanese made during WWII. Oliver also met fellow prisoner Anatoly Knyazev. Ivo tortured Oliver for the location of Shado and Slade and when that didn't work, he had Sara trick Oliver into radioing them.
Ivo then sent Oliver back to Lian Yu as a hostage for his crew. Shado and Slade rescued Oliver and Sara went with them. Together, they reaches a Japanese and used Mirakuru to save Slade, who had been badly burned. The Mirakuru appeared to kill Slade.
Ivo then forced Oliver to choose between Sara and Shado. When aimed the guns at Sara, Oliver got in the way, which Ivo took as choosing to kill Shado and shot her. Slade then appeared and rescued Oliver and Sara.
